Why we built Evalua

The problem: market opacity

Dominican Republic real estate has no MLS. No centralized pricing data. No public transaction records. Agents represent both sides of the deal. Asking prices are routinely inflated 20–40% above fair value. Title status is unclear on 60% of land. International buyers — especially first-timers — have no way to know if they're getting a fair deal or walking into a costly mistake.

Evalua makes the opaque transparent. We built the tool we wished existed when we started buying property in Samaná two decades ago. Our team has been active in the Samaná peninsula since the early 2000s — before Las Terrenas had paved roads to the airport. We've watched the market evolve from a handful of expat-owned villas to a thriving international investment destination.
